Delyth Hughes BA (Hons), PGCE, NASENCO

Delyth is an Independent Special Education Needs and Disabilities Consultant covering the UK and Internationally.  She specialises in Whole School Improvement for SEND, staff training and supporting parents and carers to secure the best outcomes and provision for children and young people, including supporting parents through the EHCP process.

Delyth has worked in mainstream education for 20 years inspiring inclusive practice and has worked extensively with a variety of age groups from early years through to secondary. Delyth has experience that includes School Leadership, SENCO, Local Authority School Improvement, and EHC Plan writing.  Delyth has a particular interest in developmental trauma, social emotional and mental health and attachment theory and the links to behaviour.  She is, in addition, a trainee psychotherapist.

Delyth is well-respected and highly regarded in her profession and has strong links to her community.  You will find many testimonials which affirm her commitment to children, families and effective SEND practice. Delyth works with Headteachers, Leadership Teams, SENCOs and teaching staff to develop high quality SEND practice across settings, providing tailored services.
